Sights such as Gottorf Castle, the Museumsberg Flensburg, the Viking Museum Haithabu or the imposing St. Peter's Cathedral, which is one of the most renowned cultural monuments of the north, should not be missed. Also the combined tram-train bascule bridge of Lindaunis, the Kappelner Herring Fence or one of the romantic fieldstone churches of this region are worth a visit. In Arnis, Germany's smallest town, you will find numerous historic fishermen's houses and a boat church with votive ships.

If you like it a little bit more "comfortable", grab your SUP and paddle along the beautiful Baltic Sea coast, on the Schlei or on one of the many natural rivers and lakes.

Around the Baltic Sea fjord Schlei alone, those who are keen on running can choose from numerous perfectly signposted round trips and connecting routes with a total length of 180 kilometres! Cyclists also get their money's worth in our region. Five perfectly signposted theme tours from the Schleiufer-Törn to the Schlemmer-Törn make you want to go on excursions along the Schlei and the Baltic Sea.
